Alexandra Jerinic

Mezzo-soprano Alexandra Jerinic holds a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from Notre Dame de Namur University and Bachelor’s of Arts in Music from Mills College, where she was the recipient of several different vocal scholarships and prizes. She has recently performed the role of Dorabella in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte as part of the California Opera Association’s Summer Opera Festival and Institute. A skilled musician, Ms. Jerinic has frequently performed contemporary opera with San Francisco Cabaret Opera. In 2010 she created the role of Mrs. Hale in the world premier of John Bilotta’s opera Trifles, based on a Susan Glaspell play of the same name, for which she was praised for her “fine voice” and chemistry with her cast-mates. Other significant roles include Katisha in The Mikado, Albine in Thaïs, and an upcoming performance as Hansel in Hansel and Gretel. Ms. Jerinic has performed with San Francisco Cabaret Opera, San Francisco Parlor Opera, Lamplighters Musical Theater, Golden Gate Opera, and California Opera Association. She is also a returning soloist at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of San Francisco. She is a regular concert and recital performer and placed in the East Bay Opera League’s 2010 Young Artist Scholarship Competition.
