An Evening with a Diva is a concert featuring local Mezzo Soprano, Gina Razón offering traditional favorites from the operatic and broadway stages including selections from Carmen, Anything Goes, A Little Night Music, Boheme, Oklahoma and Madame Butterfly among others. Sassy, sultry and playful, this program of audience favorites is sure to delight.

Terrence McNally's Master Class featuring Marcia Ragonetti and Alex Sierra

At its core this story is about the glamorous diva, Maria Callas, a commanding, larger-than-life, caustic, and surprisingly funny pedagogue who is  holding a Master Voice Class at Julliard.

 

Alternately dismayed and impressed by the students who parade in and out her class, she retreats into recollections about the glories of her own life and career. Included in her musings are her younger years as an ugly duckling , her fierce hatred of her rivals, the unforgiving press that savaged her early performances, her triumphs at La Scala , and her affair with Aristotle Onassis. Master Class is a terrific behind the scenes look at a Opera legend conducting a Master Class at Julliard, towards the end of her storied career.
