Welcome to OOT Boston!

This fun, enthusiastic and talented group of local singers can be found in bars, restaurants, art galleries, outdoor parks, and much more! They are singing the tunes of your favorite operas, musicals, art songs and even jazz standards. They let down their hair and give the audience a taste of what feels like an after hours back stage party. So come join us at our next event in Boston!

Opera on Tap’s mission is to promote opera as a viable, living and progressive art form by taking it out of the concert halls and putting it into venues where people least expect it.  We are passionate about breaking down misconceptions, bringing new people to the art form, and giving power to the performers. We are also committed to building community through the introduction of new audiences to a centuries-old art form.

Pick Your Poison – Opera on Tap’s Annual Halloween Bash at The Burren

“Pick your Poison”

Opera on Tap celebrates Halloween @ The Burren

Saturday October 29th 3-5pm – FREE (but tips are encouraged!)

The night is dark and full of terrors, so why wait for evening to get your Halloween on? Join us Saturdayafternoon where you can choose between musical trick or vocal treat. Grab a machete and cut eye-holes in your best bedsheet, then pop on over to the Burren for an Irish halloween lunch of baritones and burgers. Let the bartender pour you some liquid candy while we pull all the skeletons out of the operatic closet and shower you with lyrical bon-bons.

Opera singers get to wear costumes year-round, but you get one weekend of socially acceptable make-believe…don’t waste it. Don your fangs, your cardboard robot gear, or your slinkiest sexy-fill-in-the-blank garb. Is there an epic costume contest? This is Opera on Tap, so you bet your ironically costumed ass there is! And we wrap by 5pm, so you don’t have to worry about turning into a pumpkin after a couple hours of spooky serenades.

If that didn’t get you thirtsy enough… our friends over at SoutherTier Brewing Company will be doing a free tasting of Pumking Imperial Ale! An Opera on Tap first!!
