We're mixing things up this month - everyone will sing music for any voice type except their own! Sopranos singing bass arias, tenors singing mezzo arias... we're turning the classical vocal system upside down!

Q: What the fach is a fach?
A: The "fach system" is a German vocal classification system used in opera

Q: So why would a singer sing music that's not written for their voice type?
A: Because it's FUN! And there are no rules at OOT, so why not? Bring on the vocal anarchy!

Q: Is this show free?
A: YUP. Though we always gratefully accept donations!

Q: How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
A: Depends on whether you define "chuck" as "eat" or "throw"/"toss". If you mean "eat", then a woodchuck can chuck 0.8 lbs of wood per day. If you mean "throw" or "toss", then a woodchuck can chuck 700 lbs of wood per day. You're welcome.

Once upon a time, Germany developed the “fach” system to systematically classify singers’ voices. Well, it has been a crazy and trying year, none of the old rules seem to apply any more, so we're gonna sing whatever the fach we want!

Join us for our second-ever virtual show where we throw out the rulebook! You might hear baritones singing soprano arias, mezzos singing tenor arias, and plenty more unexpected surprises!
