Kristen Abaquin

A native of Texas, Coloratura Soprano Kristen Abaquin is an emerging young artist. Her roles span a wide range, of which includes Ernestine in Offenbach's Monsieur Choufleuri, Papagena in Mozart's Magic Flute, Connie in A Chorus Line, Amy in Sondheim's Company, and L'il Bit in Vogel's How I Learned to Drive. Matthew Guerrieri of the Boston Globe wrote of her "sharp bubbliness" in reference to her "thespian initiative." Miss Abaquin received her Bachelor's degree cum laude in vocal music performance with a minor in theater and dance from Texas Tech University. She then received her Master's of Music degree with high academic honors at New England Conservatory, also in classical voice performance.
