Bay Area soprano, Lauren Rietzel, is thrilled to be joining Opera on Tap! Lauren started her singing career as Shirley Temple in Standing Room Only at the prime age of 8 and hasn’t looked back. Since then, Ms. Rietzel has been an active voice in various school and church choirs. Lauren recently graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, with a Bachelor Degree in Vocal Performance. During this time she sang with the Douglas Morrison Theater in their musical theater production of Little Women (Meg). Ms. Rietzel has also placed in the NATs festival in San Jose in the aria and art song divisions during the spring. Starting in the fall, Lauren is looking forward to starting her master’s program with Holy Names University in Vocal Pedagogy. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys reading, hiking, and actively training for her first half marathon. She is currently a voice student of Eric Howe.
