Lindsey Rae Johnson

Born in Minneapolis, Lindsey Rae Johnson has been praised for her beautiful soprano voice and expressive artistry. She was recently featured in a Concert Artist Series in Tuscany, performing the roles of Musetta, Lauretta, Norina, Zerlina, and Violetta. Finalist in NATS competitions and the Classical Singer University Competition, Lindsey has performed with Fort Worth Opera, Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre, Oberlin in Italy, the Sieur DuLuth Summer Arts Festival, the University of Miami in Salzburg, and in the 2011 UNT Opera Gala. Coached by such esteemed artists as Danielle Orlando, Mary Dibbern, Amy Burton, and Mark Oswald, she has also participated in master classes with Craig Terry and Costanza Cuccaro. At UNT, Lindsey has performed the roles of Sophie (Werther), Morgana, Rose Maurrant, Little Red Ridinghood, and Dorabella. Additional roles include Susanna, Papagena, Gretel, Adina, Laurie Moss, and Amy March. This spring, she will perform in UNT's opera scenes program, Opera Without Elephants, as Stephanie from Jake Heggie's To Hell and Back. Lindsey is pursuing her Master's degree in Vocal Performance at the University of North Texas, studying under soprano Lynn Eustis.
