Calling composers!

Opera on Tap Twin Cities is excited to collaborate once more with composers to have a New Arias on Tap night for our Sunday March 12th show (6:30 pm at Honey in NE Minneapolis)! This is a great chance to have our singers work one-on-one with a composer to bring a new piece of music to life. If you are a composer (or know one) who would like to submit a piece, please e-mail twincities@operaontap.org for more info and for stipulations on the compositions.  The deadline for submissions will be Friday January 27th at midnight.

Calling instrumentalists!

If you play a musical instrument or know someone who does and you’d be interested in playing a descant part on a piece for our March 12th New Arias show, e-mail twincities@operaontap.org with the following info:

“Marysa Abbas is thrilled to begin her reign as Opera On Tap – Twin Cities Reigning Diva! She hopes to bring the same beauty and grace to her tenure as the drag queens that crowned her. Marysa also currently co-manages the Chicago chapter of Opera On Tap, further fulfilling her unmitigated love of Opera On Tap.”

And newly crowned 2016 Opera on Tap Twin Cities Divo-in-Training:

“Eric G. Meyer is honored to begin his almost reign as Divo-in-waiting.  When he’s not singing the Toreador with a cape and a tallboy of PBR shoved down his pants he likes to sing opera about climate change and clean energy.    When he’s not doing that, he works as a union organizer for nurses and sings with VocalEssence!”
