Welcome to Opera on Tap DC Metro
Opera on Tap is a non-profit organization whose mission is to break down the stereo-type that opera is a stuffy or elitist art form by bringing it to bars. Local singers let their hair down and bring you into what feels like an after hours back stage party, singing some of opera’s best known and little known pieces in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

*Hey, what’s this OOTober thing? Glad you asked! OOTober is OOT’s annual fall fundraiser that enables all OOT chapters to keep bringing opera to the people (yay!). But this year all the chapters across the US and Europe are in a competition to see who can raise the most!
DC is a pretty competitive city, so naturally, we want to win! Can you help? We promise to make it worth your while if you can help us win! We have a couple of awesome incentives – one for the single largest donor, and one for EVERYONE if we win. Check out the details on what you can get HERE!
Donate to OOT DC Metro HERE to help us keep bringing you amazing music from the area’s most talented musicians!
We are thrilled to have been recently profiled by WETA, a major producing station for PBS, on their digital series Not THAT D.C.! Check out the video below for more info on OOT and how it’s unique to Washington, D.C.!
